Preemptive Wear Leveling (PWL): The drive arm frequently sweeps across the disk to reduce uneven wear on the drive surface uneven wear is common to audio video streaming applications.

Our Product Service Team will see to the effective management of your product repair needs. Once you have registered your product return, a staff member will make contact to discuss repair lead-times and repair requirements, whenever these fall within the product warranty and warranty period.
Barring unforeseen circumstances, contact will be made within 24 hours. Product repairs are usually completed within two weeks of receipt.
Customer Policy on Astone’ 2.5” & 3.5” external HDD case including a 250GB/500GB/1TB/2TB Hard Drive

  • External cases carry a 1 year return to base warranty from date of purchase. Hard Drives carry a 3 year return to base warranty. A copy of the original purchase receipt is to accompany a returned product.
  • Customers are to check product contents at moment of purchase and bring up any issues at point of purchase. Amicroe carries no responsibility for missing accessories nor will Amicroe replace these. No cables or adaptors etc should be sent to Amicroe, accompanying complained products.
  • The product warranty is void if a returned disk drive exhibits a defect attributable to misuse or tampering, improper installation, alteration or to possible other causes from product manipulation.
  • The complete product unit (enclosure + HDD) needs to be returned to Amicroe: Amicroe will remove and return the Hard Drive to the client for clients’ own downloading & storage of data via a Data Recovery Center (see http://support.wdc.com/recovery/index.asp?wdc_lang=en)
  • Thereafter the HDD can be returned to Amicroe for further testing in the original external HDD case.
  • Amicroe will not replace non-defective items or be responsible for replacing product accessories.
  • Amicroe will repair unit defects. Existing product damage (i.e. scratches / dents) upon our receipt will not be taken into consideration for product repair.
  • Customers must ensure proper packaging of returned product for full protection of product during transit.
  • It is recommended that customers arrange for the regular back up of stored data. Amicroe carries no responsibility where data may be lost due to product failure.
